Nick Williams is a production designer working in film and television drama in New Zealand. Nick received both an Emmy and AACTA nomination for Best Production Design for his work on The New Legends of Monkey and has been twice nominated for the NZTV awards for his work on Black Hands and The Bad Seed.

Nick’s recent work includes The Convert - An epic action drama film directed by Lee Tamahori and starring Guy Pierce who plays a lay preacher arriving in 1830’s New Zealand and finds himself caught in a bloody war between two warring Maori tribes. The Tank -  follows a young family who inherit a remote and long abandoned coastal property in Oregon, beneath it lurks a horde of ferocious and deadly creatures that feed on the living.

Prior to production design Nick worked as an art director both in New Zealand and the UK where he worked on some of the UK’s premier drama and comedy shows including the first series of the critically acclaimed BBC Sherlock starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.

Nick is an extremely hands on production designer who leads a highly motivated and capable art department while understanding the needs and requirements of other departments and HOD’s. He is just as at home working on large studio set builds or smaller location shoots with less resources.
